Hello all my lovely bohemian souls!
If you make it all the way to the end of this issue, you will discover why it’s been so long since I published.
Meanwhile, on with the show:
VILMA HODO and The Symphony of the Senses
First and foremost, the lovely Vilma Hodo, one of my favorite people on the planet, is hosting a spectacular event this Friday evening from 6 pm – 10 pm. I will most assuredly be there. Whatever Vilma does is always magic, and well worth the price of admission.

Be there or be L7!

In the last issue I mentioned putting together some prints which pair my poetry with artworks by prominent artists. Well, I now have an e-gallery. There’s a cool collection of prints for sale there. Lots more to come, including by the extraordinary Lee Klein! He’s the only AI artist I enjoy. Stay tuned for those and other exciting collaborations!
Meanwhile, please take a look. Here’s the link to my new e-gallery:

2025 is the 30-year anniversary of the premier broadcast of my River Tales storytelling and music series, on WBAI FM in NYC - and subsequently on some 200+ radio stations throughout the English-speaking world. To celebrate, I’ve set up a page where you can listen (free) and (hopefully) purchase a download. There are about 3 hours of storytelling for children. There are also some original tunes and a killer cover of Limehouse Blues.
Reviews, endorsements and such can be found there, too.
Please Note: This is meant for families with children and is content free of sexual and gender ideology.

I chose Tiffany blue for the cover art! Check out the reviews and you’ll know why. (And it was an easy option. After all, the story’s the thing.

Sir Mick and me in Chelsea recently. Read on.

So, as I started to write this issue, my phone lit up identifying the call’s origin as the office of one of my doctors. You see, I had liver cancer recently, and surgery to remove the tumor. They caught it really early and only a few cancer cells were found. The call today was to tell me, once again, that a blood test showed all clear. A couple more months of follow up and everything will be all clear.
I must admit it was scary and I prayed and prayed. and God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit and the Blessed Virgin answered my prayers. I’m still praying, and very grateful. It’s true what they say: When you’re healthy, you can have a thousand problems. But when you’re sick, only one thing is important. Now I’m relying on God’s promise at the end of Psalm 91.
I ran into Sir Mick at Gagosian Gallery Chelsea on my first outing after surgery. I consider that a good omen. He’s older than I am and still going strong and looking great. And he’s got a hot young wife.
So, that’s it for this issue. Next issue will include a link to my first-ever collection of poems, titled Poetry Will Prevail. It’s all sonnets and will be released by Amazon, the first of a series of chapbooks devoted to my poetry, which has appeared in the NY Times, and the editorial page of the Philadelphia Inquirer, and other newspapers and literary magazines.
Please forgive me if I’m overly self-promotional. One, I very recently realized that my legacy, if you will, is inadequate. I wrote and produced and published quite a bit over the years but was always moving on to the next project without properly documenting and preserving previous work. I’m attempting to remedy that.
And the Universe is cooperating with me! Some kind soul recently decided I was worthy of a Wikipedia entry. I am touched and honored!

Thank you, as always. I do appreciate your time and attention.
I remain an unrepentant bohemian litterateur. Hopefully, I’ll be back next month.
At your service,
